Survey reveals litter levels in Cardiff

February 13, 2010

The services of commercial cleaners are most likely to be needed in Cardiff, a new survey suggests.

According to research from Keep Wales Tidy, Cardiff and Blaenau Gwent have the dirtiest and most littered streets in the country.

A 12-month long survey found that the streets of Blaenau Gwent are littered with discarded food wrappers, drink waste and dog foul, while Conwy was found to be the cleanest area.

Some 3,464 roads were inspected as part of the extensive survey, which revealed that overall, there has been a drop in the amount of litter in Wales and the overall cleanliness index in the area has improved.

Blaenau Gwent and Cardiff councils said they are working to improve the levels of cleanliness in their areas.

Representatives from the councils said they will be employing extra cleaning machines including a new cigarette cleaning vacuum to deal with the litter problem.

A member of staff will also be tasked with emptying and cleaning dog bins in the county every week.

Commercial cleaners from London cleaning companies can be hired to improve the overall level of cleanliness in your area.

Commercial Cleaning Quotations follow up

February 13, 2010

Following our commercial cleaning quotation for a large central London hotel few weeks ago, FastKlean cleaning company can now safely declare that we have been successful in retaining this cleaning contract as well.

Their manager contacted our office and requested a visit in order to inspect the property and provide a relevant cleaning quote.

Following the visit, the management has requested an initial one off, after builders cleaning session including window cleaning to spruce up the premises.

As well as the window cleaning, the after builders clean will also involve steam cleaning of the required rooms.

The after builders clean will give us the opportunity to demonstrate our professionalism so we can be considered for any future commercial cleaning on regularly basis.

Office cleaning is vital to keep desks germ-free

February 13, 2010

Office cleaning is vital when it comes to keeping work spaces free from dirt and germs, an expert has suggested.

Frances Both, health and society specialist at The Guardian, said that lurking beneath most workstations are likely to be a “hotbed of nasties”, which necessitates regular office cleaning.

She pointed out that there are typically thousands of microbes per square inch festering on desks, lingering in between key pads on keyboards and swarming over computer accessories.

The prevalence of germs in the average office is so bad that a study by the University of Arizona found that there are 400 times as many germs on the typical worker’s desk than on a toilet seat.

If left unchecked, germs could build up and pose a serious threat to health and safety, as well as bringing down the overall appearance of the office.

Working professionals are advised to clean their laptops, monitors and keyboards at least three times a week and always wash their hands after going to the toilet.

Workers could also consider hiring a contract cleaning service to conduct a thorough office cleaning.
