Nedyalka. She has been with us for a while already. The feedbacks from the customers are great and we even had new clients recommending their friends to join because of Nedyalka’s outstanding cleaning service.

Stefka. She started several years ago. Since she got the first job she has proved to be a really good cleaner (and person!). Customers are very happy with her services and she also kept some holiday replacements as permanent clients.

‘Cleaners worth more to society than City bankers’

Cleaners are more valuable to society than City bankers, a new study from the New Economics Foundation suggests.

The organisation’s A Bit Rich? report reveals that elite City bankers earning £1 million or more in bonuses destroy £7 of value for every £1 they create, while commercial cleaners create over £10 in value for every £1 they receive in pay.

Similarly, waste recycling workers generate £12 for every £1 that is spent on their wages.

Researchers reached their conclusions by measuring conventional economic returns including job creation but adding positive or negative changes in wellbeing to individuals and to society at large.

Eilis Lawlor, head of the Valuing What Matters team at the New Economics Foundation, said there needs to be a relationship between what people are paid and the value of their jobs to society.

“Pay levels often don’t reflect the true value that is being created,” she said. “As a society, we need a pay structure which rewards those jobs that create most societal benefit, rather than those that generate profits at the expense of society and the environment.”

Last month cleaners servicing Virgin trains on the West Coast Main Line went on strike to protest against low pay and poor employment conditions.

‘Regular cleaning helps reduce dust mites’

Carrying out regular spring cleaning of beds, mattresses and bed clothes is essential to keep them free of dust mites, an expert has advised.

Dr Darryl C Zeldin, acting clinical director of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, said washing bed sheets at least once a week is a good way to reduce exposure to dust mites.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, he advised domestic cleaners london and householders to soak sheets in hot water, as this is likely to ensure materials are thoroughly cleansed and sanitised.

Dr Zelzin also advised householders to wash stuffed animals and other toys regularly and keep rooms as clutter-free as possible.

In addition, removing carpets will facilitate a comprehensive clean and enable domestic cleaners to get to hard-to-reach areas beneath visible surfaces.

In order to minimise exposure to dust mites in the first place, Dr Zeldin recommended using special zipped covers to encase mattresses and pillows.

Dupray unveils new upholstery cleaners

Cleaning machine manufacturer Dupray Industries has unveiled a new range of upholstery cleaners.

The new Upholstery Tool is designed specifically to clean fine upholstery and carpets and it helps cut drying times by up to 90 per cent.

The cleaning machine injects dry saturated steam, which in conjunction with the detergent, helps to remove tough stains without damaging or discolouring the surface.

Dupray has also unveiled a versatile steam vacuum cleaner, the Carmen Super Inox, which has been proven to remove chewing gum stains.

The machine has steam temperatures of 165 degrees C and detergent temperatures of 125 degrees C, which allows dirt, grime and chewing gum to be quickly dissolved and removed with maximum efficiency and minimum effort.

Brent Gray, spokesman for Dupray, said: “The Upholstery Tool, used with the upgraded Carmen Super Inox, provides the most power in our steam cleaner line for commercial upholstery cleaning.”

The cleaning machines can be used easily by commercial cleaners, as well as individual homeowners for sofa cleaning and upholstery maintenance.

Consumer Reports gives spring cleaning top tips

As householders gear up for the annual spring cleaning season, Consumer Reports has unveiled a number of top tips.

The publication advised cleaners to make sure they conduct all their spring cleaning using a damp cloth and all-purpose cleaner, as this has a high likelihood of removing dust and dirt effectively.

Alternatively, cleaners can make use of a mild liquid dish detergent unless the care information stipulates otherwise.

When it comes to cleaning ceiling fans, Consumer Reports recommended the use of U-shaped brushes, as these fit perfectly inside the “U” so both sides of the blade are thoroughly cleaned simultaneously.

Cleaners were advised to take their spring cleaning seriously and dive in head first instead of merely doing things by half measures.

Pat Slaven, programme leader for Consumer Reports, said: “Most people change the sheets, flip the mattress and vacuum the baseboards, but spring cleaning can be taken a step further to a deep clean.”

She added that the spring cleaning season is the perfect time for people to organise their home in preparation for the coming year.

Their manager contacted our office and requested a visit in order to inspect the property and provide a relevant cleaning quote.
Following the visit, the management has requested an initial one off,  after builders cleaning session including window cleaning to spruce up the premises.
As well as the window cleaning, the after builders clean will also involve steam cleaning of the required rooms.
The after builders clean will give us the opportunity to demonstrate our professionalism so we can be considered for any future commercial cleaning on regularly basis.
